Matthew Morrison's duet with Elton John sounds a little familiar. In fact, a lot familiar.

That's because the collaboration is actually a mashup (of course it is, right, Gleeks?) of John's hits "Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters" and "Rocket Man."

Battlefield: Train - an Atlas Shrugged movie review

Crossposting from TIL, where there's a nice interview w Stephen Tobolowsky on Groundhog Day. I hadn't noticed that they focus on different parts of the day in different parts of the film. Act one is in the morning, act two afternoon, and act three is the evening. Interesting.

Hi-Res Version Of Previously Released Xavier And Magneto Image!

Posted: 18 Apr 2011 10:22 AM PDT

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men. X-Men: First Class is set to be released on June 3, later this year!

If, as the saying goes, it takes ten years of hard work to become an overnight success, then Texas quartet Old 97's, hard at it for nearly two decades, should have blown up yesterday.

Alongside Uncle Tupelo, Drive By Truckers and Whiskey Town, they pioneered alt-country but despite next big thing hype, huge commercial success never materialized. Over the past 18 years, the band has released 14 albums, played countless gigs and written hundreds of songs -- all with the same lineup.

On a recent spring afternoon, Spinner caught up with singer Rhett Miller before the band's set at Toronto's Legendary Horseshoe Tavern, a fitting locale to discuss longevity counsdering the country-themed rock bar has been hosting live music for over 60 years.

"The bands we came up with that had a hit song no longer exist," Miller says. "We never had a huge song on the radio, but we still get to play in front of hundreds of people everywhere we go."

VIDEO: Prison Break's Lane Garrison Says Jail Was His "Worst Nightmare"

Posted: 18 Apr 2011 09:51 AM PDT

Lane Garrison | Photo Credits: NBC

On Monday's episode of Today, Prison Break's Lane Garrison discussed his 22-month jail stay with Matt Lauer. It was billed as Garrison's "first sit-down" interview since getting out of jail in April 2009, which differentiates it from the stand-up interview he did with TMZ earlier this month. And that's on top of the gory details of his real-life prison experience he divulged to In Touch over a year ago. Garrison seemed content to play along and act like this was the first time he's really talked about his jail stay, going as far as to say he's kept quiet till now "out of respect for the family" of his victim. Hmmm...
