Transformers 3 - 12A rating (UK)

Posted: 04 Jul 2011 10:56 AM PDT

Anyone else feel the 12A rating touched a nerve alittle with regards to how lenient the ratings system is becoming.

I went to watch the movie, and some mother behind me had her 7 year old son with her (approx) and i became really uncomfortable with the films content.

The movie had blood, guts, decapitations, limbs being removed, and finally, to top it off, a execution. Not to mention the shocking language.

[spoiler]

The execution scene in particular where the autobot is pleading for its life before being shot in the chest then the back of the head seemed particularly inappropriate.

Sure, its a film about robots, but does that make the content justifiable? Whats your opinion?

Adele Plans More 'Acoustic' Approach on Next Album

Ian West, PA

For her next album Adele is planning a simpler more acoustic approach, the singer has revealed. However it's not just the sound on the follow-up to '21' Adele will change -- she also intends to take on recording, production and mastering duties herself.

Speaking to Q magazine (via Contactmusic), she explained, "I've accumulated some things to write about again. I'd go into the studio tomorrow if I could. It won't be a big production. I want it to be quite acoustic and piano-led. I want to write it, record it all, produce it all and master it on my own.

"I think it'll take a lot longer because I want to do it this way. When I move house in the summer, my sound engineer is going to come and help me install a studio and teach me how to use it.

  • Alice Cooper Recalls Bizarre Sing-Along With Iggy Pop and Brian Wilson

As rock star get-togethers go, Alice Cooper and Iggy Pop's late 70s meeting with Brian Wilson has to be one of the most surreal.

According to Cooper what started as a chance for a spot of hero-worshipping ended in bizarre fashion with the Beach Boys leader playing the same children's song repeatedly for an hour until things got too weird, even for the two rock upstarts.

Speaking to Contactmusic, Cooper recalled, "It was about 1978 or something like that. Iggy and I were sitting there waiting -- you know it was Brian Wilson one of the great writers of all time -- and he sat down at the piano and starts playing 'Mama's little baby loves shortnin shortnin, mama's little baby loves shortnin bread.'"
