Blake Sennett Clarifies Comments About Rilo Kiley's Split, Confirms Band Is Done Posted: 15 Jul 2011 02:00 PM PDT Filed under: News, Exclusive Warner Bros. Records Blake Sennett would like to clarify the comments he made regarding Rilo Kiley's break-up in an interview with Spinner earlier this week. While he didn't question the accuracy of the quotes, Sennett was disappointed in how the article portrayed his comments in regard to his current relationship with his former bandmates. Spinner regrets any confusion this may have caused, as well as not including this quote about his friendship with Jenny Lewis: "She's my buddy. She's a good person, a good friend. She's my homie." Stay tuned to Spinner for more about Blake's work with the Elected. "Look, all bands have s---. Ours was no different. That's all I was saying. The rest has been completely editorial. Most of the interview was in reference to me leaving music in general and my reasoning for doing so. Not Rilo Kiley specifically. Rise of the Planet of the Apes Carmageddon Viral Video Posted: 15 Jul 2011 10:45 AM PDT The fifth and sixth Primate Behavior viral videos for Rise of the Planet of the Apes have been discovered. One is a scene taken from an old documentary, which shows how Chimpanzees in Idi Amin's army learned how to use machetes to stave off attacks. It reportedly comes from director Rupert Wyatt's own private stash of videotapes, which he used for inspiration in making this upcoming summer reboot. The second video was made by the studio as a goof on this weekend's Carmageddon, which will see the 405 in Southern California shut down for the entire weekend. Check out the madness below. The Hobbit Dwarves Balin and Dwalin Revealed! Posted: 15 Jul 2011 10:00 AM PDT Two more dwarves have been revealed from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which is currently in production in New Zealand, working towards a December 14, 2012 release date. Today we have the first look at Balin and Dwalin, portrayed by Ken Stott and Graham McTavish. Rock of Ages Photo Featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones Posted: 15 Jul 2011 09:49 AM PDT Director Adam Shankman is currently in production on his musical adaptation Rock of Ages, which is shooting in Miami. The filmmaker revealed a new photo from the set, which features Catherine Zeta-Jones as the main villain, a conservative who is trying to shut down the Los Angeles rock and roll scene. We reported back in April that Catherine Zeta-Jones joined the Rock of Ages cast as the villain, who is described as a bizarre cross between Tipper Gore and Anita Bryant. The character did not appear in the original Broadway musical by Chris D'Arienzo, who also wrote the screenplay adaptation. Rock of Ages comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Mary J. Blige, Tom Cruise, Bryan Cranston, Julianne Hough, Paul Giamatti, Diego González Boneta, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Akerman. The film is directed by Adam Shankman.
