Tips from Michael Corbett 'Before You Buy' Your New Home!

Posted: 09 Jul 2011 10:29 AM PDT

Best-selling author, real estate expert and "Extra's" Mansions and Millionaires host Michael Corbett gives the skinny on the best ways to buy a home in his new book "Before You Buy!" "Now that we are near the bottom of the market, it's the perfect storm of buying opportunity -- great low prices, lots of choices, low interest rates," explains Corbett.

As one of his tips, Corbett says look for homes with a "battered history," such as: --If the property has only just been listed and put on the market, the seller will likely still be hopeful of receiving a full-price offer. If it's been languishing on the market for three or more months, this listing is growing stale fast and the owners will very likely be ready to deal.
--If a house has had series of price reductions over the past few weeks or months, the realtor and the seller are struggling to find the bottom line price tag. This is house that wants to be sold. Jump on it. --If a house has just fallen out of escrow, meaning the house was under contract for sale but for some reason the deal didn't come together, the seller will be feeling burnt and frustrated and ready to just get this house off his hands. --Look for sellers on a desperate time line. Divorce, death in the family, job loss or relocation, facing foreclosure, advanced age or illness, purchase of another house are all motivating factors to sell quickly. As heart-wrenching as they can be, these life-stage, personal, financial, or event-driven factors make a seller highly motivated and give you leverage to snag a great deal. Director Christopher Nolan has managed to keep most of the story details in regards to The Dark Knight Rises a secret. Until now. The movie will soon start shooting at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and as required by law, the faculty and students have to be made aware of what is taking place on the campus.

Massive Spoilers For Game Of Thrones Season 2

Posted: 09 Jul 2011 09:58 AM PDT

As the casting for season 2 of Game Of Thrones continues leading up to shooting at the end of the month I thought I'd share a few details on what will be happening for those that don't mind being spoiled. Bare in mind that I'm going by the book A Clash Of Kings here, but since the first season stuck so faithfully to the events of the first book I can't imagine too many changes will be made from what I'm about to reveal. In this first part I will go over what happens around the characters of Renly, Stannis, Catlyn and Arya. Now, obviously if you don't want to know what's going to happen, don't read any further. Ok, last warning?.. MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD Expect the first ep to begin where the book does, with the introduction of the not yet cast(Christopher Eccleston is rumored) Stannis Baratheon, brother of Robert and Renly and

Special Effects in 1970. Lizard gets shot in "Ballad of Cable Hogue".
