He speaks about Blackout's appearance and says that he will have a "lot of powers", hinting that one will be manipulating electricity. Here are the highlights.. "I'd say with this version of Blackout, he starts off as a sociopath with homicidal tendencies but then becomes a real sadist/psychopath." "Mark and Brian took a lot of liberties. I'm not really at liberty to say what they are since i'd give too much away. This is how Mark put it to me when he was talking about the project: If Ghost Rider is the Spirit of Vengeance then Blackout is the Spirit of Decay." What |

Frank Darabont Departs The Walking Dead Posted: 27 Jul 2011 10:32 AM PDT To the surprise of everyone, Frank Darabont, the creator, executive producer and director of AMC's hit series The Walking Dead, will be stepping down as showrunner, reports Deadline. The news comes just days after Frank Darabont made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con to promote Season 2 of his hit zombie series. While he will no longer be involved in running the show from day to day, there is speculation he may still be on board the series in some capacity. "There is speculation that Darabont might be off the show completely, but I hear talks are still ongoing about him possibly staying on in some capacity. Darabont, who spent five years trying to get a TV version of the zombie saga off the ground and wrote and directed the AMC pilot, hails from the feature world, and I hear that he never quite adjusted to the daily grind of producing a TV series. Last December, he considered forgoing a writing staff for Season 2 and assigning scripts to freelancers but ultimately went for the traditional writing staff model recommended by the network and tapped Glen Mazzara as an executive producer and his No. 2. It is unclear if The Shield alum Mazzara, who has showrunning experience, would now step in to run Walking Dead. I hear that the behind-the-scenes turmoil has not affected production on the show, which continues as scheduled." Frank Darabont's departure hasn't had an affect on the Season 2 production of The Walking Dead, which is currently shooting in Atlanta. The second season is set to premiere on October 16 on AMC. |

Kevin Feige Says The Avengers Features a Different Hulk Posted: 27 Jul 2011 10:29 AM PDT The Avengers is currently shooting in New Mexico, aiming towards a release date of May 4, 2012. Although the superhero ensemble wasn't at Comic-Con last week, a new concept art poster was released featuring The Hulk. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently talked about how this Hulk will differ from previous versions. Here's what Kevin Feige had to say below. It will be as different as The Incredible Hulk was from Ang Lee's Hulk in terms of its look and design, but it is Hulk. The image we released on the last day of Comic-Con - which got a tremendous amount of attention and I was very pleased about - is a very good representation of what he's going to look like. Hulk is Hulk. We're not going to reinvent the wheel." Kevin Feige also went into detail about the size and scope of Hulk in The Avengers, and how Mark Ruffalo can be visibly seen within the CGI framework of Hulk. "He'll be about the same size he was in The Incredible Hulk [which was about 9 feet tall] or maybe a little bit smaller. His muscles won't be quite as cut. We figure he's been the Hulk now for a few years and [his physique is changing]. He's not as cut or as ripped as he was in The Incredible Hulk. The most important thing is that face. As you can already see in that concept painting, it is - more than any Hulk that's ever been done in live action - a Hulk that let's you see the actor in there. You will be able to see Ruffalo in there. That was a big revelation for us. It's just a concept painting, but in that you can see the [influence of Marvel Comics pioneer and original Hulk artist Jack] Kirby, as people have already pointed out, but also, and equally important in this case, Ruffalo's eyes and his cheek structure. It is him." clickHere for the full article on The Avengers. The Avengers comes to theaters May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg, Tom Hiddleston. The film is directed by Joss Whedon. |
