Has Rhys Ifans Been Cast In Bond 23?

Posted: 17 Jul 2011 10:23 AM PDT

According to he usually-reliable columnist 'Mandrake' in today's edition of The UK Telegraph, Rhys Ifans has joined the cast of Sam Mendes' James Bond flick.. He(Mendes) is clearly taking his mission seriously, as Mandrake hears that he has cast Rhys Ifans, who once enjoyed a passionate cinematic kiss with Craig. "Ifans will appear in the film, as well as Javier Bardem, who will play the baddie," says my man with the golden gun. "Much of the filming will take place in South Africa." Take it as a rumor until we have confirmation, but this would seem to be legit. As the original article references, Ifans and Craig have acted together before in a strange little movie called Enduring Love. It's worth a watch, and the two certainly have some screen chemistry so seeing em together in a Bond movie could be an awesome prospect. We will of course see Ifans as Dr Curt Connors/The

It may not have been the first time the the Plains of Abraham echoed with the screams of thousands, but it was surely the most jubilant. On the site of a decisive battle between the French and English armies back in 1759, the 100,000-plus capacity crowd howled along with Metallica frontman James Hetfield during the band's opening number, the biblical 'Creeping Death,' at last night's epic tour closer as part of Quebec City's annual Festival D'Ete.

The awesome power of the moment, the writhing sea of black and skin, was not lost on Hetfield and the rest of Metallica, who rode its proverbial lightening throughout the rest of the evening.

Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) are back to clean up more meth-related disasters, including the murder of a lab technician in the last season. They continue to have more reasons to fear for their lives, as they are now under the control of Albuquerque's most unsuspecting, but dominating criminal -- Gus Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito. Walt will also have to figure out how to deal with his wife Skylar (Anna Gunn), who has had a change of heart and now wants in on his drug business. Skylar's uptight sister Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) is still grappling with the near death of her DEA husband, Hank (Dean Norris), who is still recovering from his brutal attack last season. The newest season airs tonight at 10:00 PM on AMC.

First Look At The Hobbit's Richard Armitage As Thorin Oakenshield!

The creative team behind the Lord of the Rings trilogy returns to Middle-earth with this adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic precursor The Hobbit. Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh share writing duties with Guillermo del Toro on the Warner Bros./MGM joint production, the story of which will span two films, the first of which is entitled, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
