Clooney Plotting Prank for Pitt: 'It Might End His Career'

Posted: 26 Jan 2012 11:15 AM PST

George Clooney recently appeared on "Inside the Actors Studio" and was asked about favorite pranks he pulled while filming. The actor replied, "I have done some horrible things to people. Truly, truly horrible."

Clooney added, "I'm working on one right now, for Brad Pitt." George paused with a smirk on his face, and hinted, "It might end his career." The audience laughed and applauded in delight.

Brad Pitt Reveals His Plan of Attack on Clooney to "Extra"

"The Descendants" star, who is nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award along with Pitt, continued, "I owe him, so I'm gettin' him. I've been working on it for two years. I'm not gonna tell you what it is, but just know... I got him."

George explained his love of jokes, saying, "I'm a big believer of making sets fun, in general... there's a funny thing you have to do -- you have to be aware, 'Okay, now we're gonna do a scene where we kill everybody, so let's all calm down."

The George Clooney Guide

Nick Clooney's Son

George was born in Lexington, Kentucky, the son of Nick Clooney, a Cincinnati show host. George studied a few years at Northern Kentucky University and failed to join the Cincinnati Reds baseball club. He came to acting when his cousin, Miguel Ferrer, got him a small part in a feature film.

Remember 'The Facts of Life'?

Clooney co-starred in several TV shows early in his career, including as the handyman George Burnett in "The Facts of Life" and as Roseanne Barr's supervisor Booker Brooks in "Roseanne."

The 'ER' Years

Clooney achieved stardom when he played Dr. Doug Ross on the hit NBC drama "ER" from 1994 to 1999. After leaving the series in 1999, he made a cameo appearance in the 6th season and returned for a guest spot in the show's final season.

'From Dusk Till Dawn'

George's first feature film role was in the 1996 Robert Rodriguez horror flick "From Dusk to Dawn," written by Quentin Tarantino.

Respect His Autho-ri-tay!

Clooney loves the show "South Park" and played an ER surgeon in "South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut."

'Out of Sight'

Jack Foley: "It's like seeing someone for the first time, and you look at each other for a few seconds, and there's this kind of recognition like you both know something. Next moment the person's gone, and it's too late to do anything about it."

Just Say No to Marriage

Clooney was married once, to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993, but has vowed to never marry again — unless it's for a Norwegian bank commercial.

'Three Kings'

Archie Gates: "You know you're on the path to truth when you smell sh*t, isn't that what they say?"

'The Perfect Storm'

Captain Billy Tyne: "You'll get a sh*tload of fish. I've gone out before and motored back with so much stock little boys like you had to pack it on the pier. I always find the fish, always! And I will this time. So don't f**k with me!"

'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'

Ulysses Everett McGill: "Deceitful, two-faced she-woman. Never trust a female Delmar, remember that one simple precept and your time with me will not have been ill spent."

'Ocean's Eleven'

Rusty (Brad Pitt): "Why do this?" Danny: "Why not do it? Cause yesterday I walked out of the joint after losing four years of my life and you're cold-decking 'Teen Beat' cover boys. [pause] Cause the house always wins. Play long enough, you never change the stakes. The house takes you. Unless, when that perfect hand comes along, you bet and you bet big, then you take the house." Rusty: "Been practicing this speech, haven't you?" Danny: "Little bit. Did I rush it? Felt I rushed it." Rusty: "No, it was good, I liked it. The 'Teen Beat' thing was harsh."

'Good Night, and Good Luck'

Fred Friendly: "There's no news, boys, so go out there and make some news. Rob a bank, mug an old lady, whatever-just do something."

Girlfriends from the Past

Gorgeous George had a five-year on/off relationship with British model Lisa Snowdon, beginning in 2000.From 2009 to June 2011, Clooney was in a relationship with Italian model Elisabetta Canalis.

'Syriana'

After an accident on the set of his movie "Syriana," Clooney suffered from back pain, bad headaches, and memory loss. After several spine surgeries, he fully recovered and is fine now. He won Best Supporting Actor for the role as CIA agent Bob Barnes. Bob Barnes: "If anything happens to me or my family, an accident, an accusation, anything, then first your son will disappear, his body will never be found. Then your wife. Her body will never be found either. This is guaranteed. Then, whatever is the most dangerous thing you do in your life, it might be flying in a small plane, it might be walking to the bank, you will be killed. Do you understand what I'm saying? I want you to acknowledge that you do understand so that we're clear and there won't be any mistakes."

'Michael Clayton'

Michael Clayton: "I'm not the guy you kill. I'm the guy you buy! Are you so f**king blind that you don't even see what I am? I sold out Arthur for $80 grand. I'm your easiest problem and you're gonna kill me?"

'Up in the Air'

Ryan Bingham: [on getting through airport security] "Never get behind old people. Their bodies are littered with hidden metal and they never seem to appreciate how little time they have left. Bingo, Asians. They pack light, travel efficiently, and they have a thing for slip on shoes. Gotta love 'em." Natalie Keener (Anna Kendrick): "That's racist." Ryan Bingham: "I'm like my mother, I stereotype. It's faster."

'Men Who Stare at Goats'

Lyn Cassady: "Once you understand the linkage between observation and reality then you begin to dance with invisibility." Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor): "Like camouflage." Lyn Cassady: "No, it's not like camouflage."

'Fantastic Mr. Fox'

Mr. Fox: "Why a fox? Why not a horse, or a beetle, or a bald eagle? I'm saying this more as, like, existentialism, you know? Who am I? And how can a fox ever be happy without, you'll forgive the expression, a chicken in its teeth?" Kylie: "I don't know what you're talking about, but it sounds illegal."

New Love?

Clooney is currently dating WWE diva Stacy Keibler.

Alexander Payne Connection

Clooney wanted the role of Jack in the 2004 dramedy "Sideways," but the film's director, Alexander Payne, felt that he was too big a star, and turned him down in favor of Thomas Haden Church. Ironically, George is now starring in Payne's Oscar contender "The Descendants."

Things that should be adapted into movies...

Posted: 26 Jan 2012 10:57 AM PST

It could be a book, video game, play, or a product (but try not to make it stupid). Anything really...

Off the top of my head I would say the play Arcadia by Tom Stoppard and the plot to Silent Hill 2, which is only viable in my view if it is well done and not reminiscent to that crappy first adaptation.

Ratings: Touch Posts Second-Biggest Drama Debut of the Season

Kiefer Sutherland | Photo Credits: Fox

They can obsess about these numbers on Touch: Wednesday night's preview of the series that begins March 19 pulled in the second-biggest audience of any prime-time premiere this season.

It was second only to ABC's Once Upon a Time, which reeled in 12.79 million viewers and a 4.0 rating among industry-prized 18-to-49-year-olds on Oct. 23, and Kiefer Sutherland's TV comeback surpassed the debut of two other ballyhooed Fox shows this season, Alcatraz (9.97 million/3.3 on Jan. 16) and Terra Nova (9 million/3.1 on Sept. 26), according to preliminary Nielsen figures. Of course, Touch had the benefit of following American Idol, which was the night's most-watched show by far (despite its relatively lagging numbers), and kept 61 percent of its lead-in's viewership.

Seal Says Listening to Music is 'Extremely Emotional' Now

Posted: 26 Jan 2012 11:35 AM PST

Singer Seal graciously gave "Extra" his time, talking to host Mario Lopez at The Grove about his recent separation from wife Heidi Klum - and about his new album, "Soul 2."

Seal.jpg

Seal was very passionate about his second covers album, "Soul 2." "Every single one of those songs on 'Soul 2' I remember buying. Those are songs that kind of chronicled a certain chapter or chapters in my life. That was my motive."

As for the music Seal is listening to right now, the "Kiss for a Rose" singer replied, "I'm not really listening to anything right now because music is one of those things that is extremely emotional and there's enough emotion going on in my life right now. I sang 'Let's Stay Together' on 'Ellen' the other day, and it was a strange conflict there. It was a very tough song to sing but at the same time probably my most heartfelt experience ever singing a song."

Seal also explained why he is making media appearances on the heels of the news that he and Klum have split. "While I'm not in the habit of washing our linen in public, I also have nothing to hide. We both love each very much. But as often happens, you just grow apart. There is nothing shameful about that. And believe me, the last thing I want to do right now is to be going around and talking about our private life."

The artist detailed how he and Heidi are handling the separation with their four children; Leni, 7, Henry Gunther, 6, Johan Riley, 5, and Lou, 2. "You do it in the kindest, most gentle and understanding way you can. Luckily for us and also for them, our differences have never really been on display in front of the children. We live under the same roof. We are both very loving in front of them because the truth of the matter is that we do love each other."

Is there hope for reconciliation? Seal confessed, "I don't know. That's not something that you think about during this time."
