| COMICS: Major Spoilers In Scanned Page From Tomorrow's Fantastic Four #600 Posted: 22 Nov 2011 10:28 AM PST Cosmic Book News has posted a scanned page from Fantatic Four #600 possibly revealing the return of none other than Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch. Believed to have died in the climax of writer Jonathan Hickman's "Three" back in January's Fantastic Four #587, how he survived is currently unknown as the site do not elaborate on whether this is explained in the issue which goes on sale tomorrow. With Annihilus on a leash, and the forces of the Negative Zone apparently under his command, it at first appears as if Johnny may be possessed and preparing to invade Earth. With future solicitations of the title showing Spider-Man as still being a member, the future of the team and this character remains a mystery for the time being. | Portlandia Season 2 Behind-the-Scenes Featurette Posted: 22 Nov 2011 10:03 AM PST  IFC announced today additional guest stars who will be appearing in Season 2 of the network's hit original series Portlandia premiering on Friday, January 6 at 10pm ET/PT. Portland Trailblazer LaMarcus Aldridge, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Ed Begley Jr., Jeff Goldblum, Sean Hayes, Miranda July, and Kumail Nanjiani will be taking up temporary residence in the show's satirical rendering of Portland, OR. The series is created, written by and stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein who bring to life many of the eccentric and unique residents of Portlandia. Today's announced guest stars join actors Kyle MacLachlan, Penny Marshall, Jack McBrayer, Tim Robbins, Andy Samberg, Amber Tamblyn and Kristen Wiig as well as musicians Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse, Steve Jones, guitarist for The Sex Pistols, Johnny Marr, guitarist for The Smiths), Joanna Newsom, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, and Annie Clark of St. Vincent., who will also make guest appearances. In anticipation of Portlandia Season 2, IFC.com today released a 22-minute behind the scenes featurette, Inside Portlandia, which gives an inside tour into the genesis and inspiration for the dreamy and eccentric world of Portlandia. | Nickelback Respond to NFL Thanksgiving Halftime Petition With Video Posted: 22 Nov 2011 02:03 PM PST Filed under: Concerts and Tours, News Nickelback have recently taken that aphorism to heart, teaming with FunnyorDie.com to make a short, self-deprecating video clip. Responding to the backlash and near-universal ire that arose amongst Detroit Lions fans upon the announcement that the band would provide the halftime entertainment for the Thanksgiving Lions-Packers game. The Canadian band parody themselves with the help of actor and funnyman Paul Scheer. Taking the online petition (which was signed by over 55,000 people) rather jovially, the band filmed a skit in which they have a meeting with a smarmy record exec in order to revamp their image. The folks at EKG records endeavor to revive Nickelback's "crisis mode" with a series of harebrained schemes. |

| Syfy Orders Script For New TV Show Based On DC Comics Character Booster Gold Posted: 22 Nov 2011 09:22 AM PST The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively revealed SyFy's plans for a small screen adaptation of Booster Gold. The network has reportedly ordered a pilot script for what will be a one-hour drama from Fringe writer Andrew Kreisberg. Greg Berlanti's production company will oversee the project in association with Warner Horizon Television. It will credit both Berlanti (Green Lantern, No Ordinary Family) and Kreisberg as executive producers. DC Comics are expected to receive similar credit. They also reveal a few details about the premise of the planned series. "He belittled her in front of people," one insider told UsWeekly. "He'd call her stupid. It was truly sickening."
