Cool "Alter-Ego" Comic Art

Posted: 08 Nov 2011 10:06 AM PST

I'm a sucker for cool art based on comic book characters and I wish I had the space and money to support these talented people. Not to mention, they would just look really cool on my wall. Anyways, the latest comic book art I've come across, via the X-Men facebook page, is by Danny Haas, who has taken a different approach, showing off bot the comic book characters, as well as their alter ego and has done it with a cool vintage look. Below are just a few of his pieces, but you can also find Green Lantern, Iron Man and a few other comic book/sci-fi characters, including Batman, Star Wars and many others. These are also available for purchase via the link above. Be sure to check out the link to see his other stuff!

Mickey Rourke Seemingly Accuses Iron Man 2 Director Jon Favreau Of Not Having Any Balls!

Posted: 08 Nov 2011 09:10 AM PST

He's been pretty critical of Marvel Studios in recent interviews in regards how his portrayal of Whiplash was ultimately delivered in the final cut of Iron Man 2, but the actor has now seemingly decided to take a swipe at director Jon Favreau too! While he doesn't name names, it's not exactly difficult to read between the lines of what he had to say to MTV Splash Page recently. Anyone else getting sick of this guy? While I have no problem with people speaking their mind, what we did see of Rourke (edited or not) was far from amazing, and I can't help but think these remarks are a way of garnering more attention for Immortals! Helen McRory And Ola Rapace Added To Skyfall!

Posted: 08 Nov 2011 08:30 AM PST

A late addition to the cast of Skyfall, the twenty-third James Bond movie, is Helen McRory. When EON Productions held a press conference last week to announce the title of the film and the beginning of the shoot, McRory's name was not mentioned. However, today the Official James Bond Twitter Page has confirmed that McRory will have a part in the movie. It was also announced that Ola Rapace, the ex-husband of actress Noomi Rapace, will appear in the movie. Nobody knows who either of them will play, but is it just me, or does McRory pass a baring resemblance to Judi Dench, playing M... Anyway, this will, as far as I'm concerned be the first major feature role, or any role, for Ola Rapace in an English language movie. Nevertheless, it gives up geeks more to speculate about! Sam Mendes directs Skyfall, which stars Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench,

'DWTS': Rob Scores High and Talks Kardashian Birthdays and 'SNL'

Posted: 08 Nov 2011 11:00 AM PST

On Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars," host Tom Bergeron noted to a high-scoring Rob Kardashian, "You had the best week of any Kardashian!"

Rob, who danced the quickstep with partner Cheryl Burke, said, "It was Mom's birthday on Saturday. It was Lamar's birthday yesterday -- my brother-in-law. My little sister, a couple days before that." When asked how he plans to celebrate, he answered, "We are all going salsa dancing!"

Rob also opened up about the "SNL" spoof on his family that aired last Saturday, saying his family is cool with being lampooned. "If they're doing a parody of you, it's usually a good thing."

Rising to the top of the leader board with the season's first perfect score were J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff, who performed the Waltz. Following the dance, Martinez said, "I want to thank my mom, God, Justin Bieber. I'll never say never!"

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Derek Hough, both the subjects of a nasty tabloid story claiming they are bitter enemies locked in a nasty dance war, held up the magazine and took a photo before posting it on Twitter. Derek explained, "I was him reading it on the couch... and he said, 'Derek, hey, look at this.'" Maks added, "So Derek and I took a picture with the spread."

Who will be the next celebrity to say goodbye? Tune in to Tuesday's "DWTS" to find out!

Tom Waits Unveils 'Satisfied' Video

Michael O'Brien

Tom Waits is straight up cool, and he knows it. Not very many people can pull off that manic, oddball persona quite the way that he can. And he really hammers that point home in his new video for 'Satisfied,' a cut off his great new album 'Bad As Me.'

"Mr. Jagger and Mr. Richards, I will scratch where I've been itching," Waits howls, calling out the Glimmer Twins like nobody's business, all the while dancing in a backyard like a man who has never even been on his proverbial "rocker." While the Rolling Stones claimed they "can't get no satisfaction," Waits confidently boasts, "I will have satisfaction." And you have no choice but to believe him.

It's not so hard to get in touch with Oprah Winfrey. For the past few weeks, viewers who've followed the former Queen of Daytime into prime time on her eponymous cable network have found themselves able to engage in real-time conversations with Winfrey via Skype, Facebook and Twitter during the nightly series Oprah's Lifeclass (Monday-through-Friday, 8/7c, OWN).

During the live part of last Friday's show, which filmed in Los Angeles, a young man named Harel beamed in via Skype from Israel to ask Winfrey herself for some advice; simply, he'd been having a bit of an existential crisis. Posted: 08 Nov 2011 10:04 AM PST

Monday evening marked the 21st Annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City, with powerful, poised and intellectual females from the world fashion, politics and Hollywood stepping onto the red carpet.

Showing up in a sexy, very leggy Versace number, Jennifer Lopez told "Extra's" AJ Calloway, "It's so nice that Glamour does this every year to honor women, and it's just a beautiful thing because you realize that the women in your life are the ones who are always there. My life is filled with so many beautiful, powerful, loving, nurturing women." Lopez accepted the evening's final honor from Donatella Versace.

Late-night host Chelsea Handler joked about J.Lo's dress and the racy slit, saying, "See how she always one-ups me with these legs?" Lopez smiled and said, "I did not!" adding, "It is a little high. I am a little uncomfortable now."

Handler also took home an award, and when asked what she planned on tackling next, the newly single 36-year-old replied, "Oh God, I guess probably an Asian guy."

Former First Lady Laura Bush and daughters Barbara and Jenna were honored by Condoleezza Rice, who said on stage, "They are giving a voice to women who otherwise might not have one. They personify the belief that every woman's life has potential."
Kim Kardashian's BFF LaLa Vasquez looked stunning in a pink gown, telling Calloway she is doing her best to be a good friend when Kim needs her most. "All I can do is continue to be here for her... answer the phone when she calls... you know, be a shoulder for her to lean on, so that's what I'm trying to do."

When Calloway asked if she thought Kim and Kris would ever reconcile, LaLa replied, "You never know."
