"But that's probably a massive spoiler. I haven't practiced being spoiler proof yet. Be on a look out for a high quality version of the above still soon. The plot centers on Hades (Ralph Fiennes) kidnapping Zeus (Liam Neeson) and taking him into the underworld. Be sure

Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner in Hansel and Gretel

Gemma Arterton offered more insight into Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, stating the following.

"You see a series of flashbacks with their experience of killing that first witch, which is brilliant. I remember being on set for the final few days of that. The candy house, and the witches are really repulsive and quite frightening. The make-up is out of this world. It's this bone-chilling scene. Very dark. The girl who plays my character is brilliant, with the horrified expression she has. This (movie) is about abandonment and being lost and parents leaving you. The heart of it is that these kids grow up to be bloodthirsty witch hunters. It's a bit tongue in cheek, really. What would Hansel and Gretel be in 15 years time?"

5 Reasons to Go to the Movies This Weekend

Posted: 02 Dec 2011 10:57 AM PST

It's going to be a quiet weekend for movie openings after the big Thanksgiving push, but here are five movies you should definitely check out.

5 Movies to See This Weekend (Dec. 2)

"The Muppets"

Who: Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper — and all your Muppet favorites! What: With the help of three fans, The Muppets must reunite to save their old theater from a greedy oil tycoon. The felt puppet revival premiered to a solid $29.2 million last weekend and should hold its own this weekend, giving reigning box office champ "Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Part 1" a run for its money.

"Hugo"

Who: Asa Butterfield, Chloë Grace Moretz, Ben Kingsley, Ray Winstone, Christopher Lee; directed by Martin Scorsese What: Set in 1930s Paris, an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. The fantastical film just picked up the Best Picture of the year award from the National Board of Review — giving it some serious Oscar buzz.

"The Artist"

Who: Jean Dujardin, Bérénice Bejo, John Goodman and James Cromwell; directed by Michel Hazanavicius What: This black and white silent throwback (yes, it's a silent film!) centers on a 1920s silent movie star George Valentin (Dujardin), who wonders if the arrival of talking pictures will cause him to fade into oblivion, while he sparks with Peppy Miller (Bejo), a young dancer set for a big break. Hollywood.com box office expert Paul Degarabedian told "Extra," "I think everyone should see 'The Artist.' It falls into an independent film specialized category. It's in black & white, a silent film — and there's even a dog that could win an Academy Award. It's an uplifting, great movie, incredible filmmaking."

"Shame"

Who: Michael Fassbender, Carey Mulligan; directed by Steve McQueen What: Brandon's carefully cultivated private life in Manhattan — which allows him to indulge his sexual addiction — is disrupted when his sister Cissy arrives unannounced for an indefinite stay. As another Oscar bait film and performance by Fassbender, the actor told "Extra" this about his character's issues: "Its like any addiction... the temptation's always there, it doesn't just cease to be, and I think that's what we see... where he's accepted it and he needs help."

"The Descendants"

Who: George Clooney, Shailene Woodley, Amara Miller, Judy Greer; directed by Alexander Payne. What: A land baron living in Hawaii tries to re-connect with his two daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident. Clooney (Best Actor), Woodley (Best Supporting Actress) and Payne (Best Screenplay) also recently earned top awards from the National Board of Review, setting "The Descendants" on track to becoming a major Oscar contender.

Cowell's Epic Battle with Judges on Drew's 'X Factor' Exit: 'I Just Felt for Her'

Posted: 02 Dec 2011 11:35 AM PST

Thursday's "X Factor" eliminations sent teen rap sensation Astro and 14-year-old Drew Ryniewicz packing, and "Extra's" Terri Seymour sat down with Simon Cowell to discuss what happened.

simon-cowell.jpg

Cowell, who threw his pen across the table after judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger voted Drew off the show, said, "I've calmed down a bit. I just felt for her, Terri."

Ryniewicz sang a rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean," and Simon admitted, "I shouldn't have chosen that song, it was too slow," and added, "I [was] begging these two [Paula and Nicole] to give her another chance."

Three Unforgettable Moments on Last Night's "X Factor"

Terri also caught up with Paula, who addressed the Simon/Drew situation, saying matter-of-factly, "I was a little taken aback by his reaction. I know how upsetting it is, but on the other hand, it's a competition and there's only one person who wins it."

Seymour wanted to make Cowell smile, and brought up the fact that he is one of Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011. Cowell exclaimed, "How do you go from that to that, Terri?! What has happened to you, Terri, it's like you've turned into me?!"

Simon revealed the most intriguing question from Walters was, "Do I need therapy?" Seymour commented, "Well after tonight... obviously, yes!"

Tune in to "X Factor" next week, as the final five contestants take to the stage.

Days of Our Songs: Tunes to Get You Through the Week, Literally

Elton JohnMCA

There are plenty of musicians who find the days of the week endlessly inspiring. The Beatles loved you for all eight days of them. Barenaked Ladies measured a fight in terms of one week. Loverboy sagely noted that we were all working for the weekend. Other musicians get even more specific, choosing to sing about one day in particular. Every day -- even sad old Wednesday -- has its musical champions and detractors. Here are our top picks for each one of them.
