DEBUNKED: International THE AVENGERS Trailer Debuting In The Coming Days?

Posted: 09 Dec 2011 08:56 PM PST

Off the heels of learning that India will be watching next summer's most highly-anticipated superhero movie, The Avengers, before the United States, I headed over to the Facebook page promoting the country's release. And it seems we may have a new international trailer to look forward to over the weekend. At least that's what the below graphic points at. Check it out! UPDATE #2: It seems the downside of our assumption has come to be true, with Disney representatives confirming to us that the trailer being promoted in the graphic for India is in fact, "the same trailer with nothing new at all. They have yet to debut it in India which is why they made an announcement for it." So, January 2012 we shall wait. Unfortunately since this is only an assumption, there's a downside. And that downside could be that this "trailer" may just be the one

Can you help me find an open letter written by some very famous film directors (can't remember who) regarding the benefits of dubbing over subtitles?

I'm a pretty avid redditor and I've never come across this one before. Maybe it's just something you all know about but don't talk about though.

Christian Bale And Gary Oldman Say Goodbye To The Batman Franchise

Posted: 10 Dec 2011 07:42 AM PST

Associated Press Unlike the media storm surrounding The Dark Knight, everyone truly believes the actors and Christopher Nolan this time when they say that this will indeed be the last Batman film that features the current talent ensemble. Here's a mashup of interviews and trailer footage the Associated Press have cobble together to begin what will likely be many such tributes as this remarkable trilogy says farewell. Sound off below in the usual spot with your own thoughts and opinions. Not to put the cart before the horse (after all, we still have to get TDKR released) but I'm wondering just where the franchise will go after the third and final movie from Nolan and co. The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming epic superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan and written by Nolan and his brother Jonathan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third installment

COMICS: JMS Takes A Swipe At AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Sales; Stephen Wacker Responds

Posted: 10 Dec 2011 07:10 AM PST

J. Michael Straczynski's run on The Amazing Spider-Man was (and still is) loved by many comic book fans. Mainly because it was, well, AMAZING. However, the decision to wipe the marriage of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson out of continuity in "One More Day" led to his departure from the title, and Marvel's plans for "Siege" soon resulted in him walking away from Thor too. Two creative decisions which forced the critically acclaimed writer to walk away from two critically acclaimed books. Regardless, he still played a role in coming up with the story for the big screen adaptation of THOR and as far as anyone knows, isn't on bad terms with the comic book publishers. Or so it seems... Sales on The Amazing Spider-Man since my departure. Just sayin' JMS posted that on his Facebook page and regardless of how you choose to read into it, it led to a heated

The term "settled down" probably isn't quite right, but ever-excitable, unpredictable rock 'n' roll high priestess Karen O has married longtime boyfriend Barnaby Clay, Us Weekly reports.

Appearing earlier this week at a launch party for an art exhibition in New York City, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer revealed the big news, later confirmed by her rep.

"I'm a married woman," said O, whose real name is Karen Lee Orzolek.

A noted film and music-video director, Clay was behind the camera for Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan's 'Saw Something,' Gnarles Barkley's 'Who Cares' and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'Zero,' among other high-profile clips.
