Patti paired Ashton with Olivia Wilde, and for Demi, Stanger said, "I see her with a businessman. You know, like an Andre Balazs. I think he's free right now." Patti added, "No more young boys."

When asked about soon-to-be divorced Kim Kardashian, Stanger said, "I gotta work on that one, 'cause I haven't found the right fit for her. But she definitely deserves love!"

The tables were turned when Stanger recently became a client, and went out on two dates. Stanger admitted, "It was the scariest experience of my life." Always wanting to take control, Stanger said she "would do it again, but this time, I'm doing the pickin'."

Surata Zuri McCants and Ruben Studdard

"American Idol" winner Ruben Studdard filed for divorce from Surata Zuri McCants, his wife of more than three years. The soulful singer filed the papers in his native Alabama, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Pippa Middleton and Alex Loudon

Perhaps Pippa Middleton's rear end getting its own Facebook page was too much for boyfriend Alex Loudon to handle. The UK's most desirable little sister is back on the market after splitting with Loudon, a former professional cricket player-turned-businessman. Duchess Catherine's younger sister, who became the planet's best-known bridesmaid in April, split with Loudon after a series of heated arguments which reportedly dealt with Loudon's inability to accept Middleton's new sex-symbol status.

Vienna Girardi and Kasey Kahl

"The Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" alums Vienna Girardi and Kasey Kahl, who teamed up on spin-off show "Bachelor Pad," ended their relationship. "Yes Vienna and I have split. It's been 5 weeks now.I will always love, be there for her, and wish her the best," Kahl tweeted. "@KaseyRKahl will always be my best friend, but we have split. No idea what the future holds for us but we will always remain friends," Girardi said.

Zoe Saldana and Keith Britton

"Columbiana" star Zoe Saldana and Keith Britton, her entrepreneur fiance, have called it quits. The pair "amicably separated after 11 years," her rep said in a statement. Saldana, 33, and Britton, 35, announced their engagement in June 2010.

Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko

Maybe their massive height difference proved to be too much for petite star Hayden Panettiere and her prizefighter boyfriend of two years, Wladimir Klitschko. The 35-year-old boxer told People in May: "We had a great time together, but it's not easy to manage a relationship between two continents." Hayden Panettiere also confirmed the breakup, adding: "Even though we've decided splitting up is best, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends."

Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper

After two blissful years together, Renee Zellweger and 2011's Sexiest Man Alive, Bradley Cooper, ended their relationship. The movie stars met in 2009 and moved in together last fall before breaking up in March. No reason was given for the split.

Shakira and Gerard Pique

International superstar Shakira dumped her footballer boyfriend, FC Barcelona star Gerard Pique, after hewas reportedly unfaithful. During Shakira's absences from Spain, Pique reportedly cheated on her with a younger woman. After the Colombian beauty discovered his infidelity, she broke it off with him. She and Gerard Pique were dating for six months.

Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard

Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth are no more. In fact, the couple managed to quietly break up "a while" before the media caught wind of their separation. "It was very mutual," a source told Us Weekly. Skarsgard is "single" and "loving the attention" from the opposite sex, an insider added.

Lady Gaga and Luc Carl

"Bad Romance" singer Lady Gaga separated from her bartender/drummer boyfriend Luc Carl. Gaga confirmed the breakup, revealing on "The Graham Norton Show" in May, "I don't have a boyfriend and haven't been on any dates recently." The singer told Rolling Stone last year, "I've really never loved anyone like I loved him. Or like I love him. That relationship really shaped me." The couple broke up several years ago before rekindling their romance in July 2010... but it's over for good.

Siobhan Bonnouvrier and Kiefer Sutherland

It's over for "24" star Kiefer Sutherland and his lady of three years, Siobhan Bonnouvrier. The couple broke up earlier this year. Back in 1990, Sutherland was engaged Julia Roberts before the actress called off the wedding.

Elisabetta Canalis and George Clooney

After two years of dating, the actor and Italian model Elisabetta Canalis announced their split in June. "We are not together anymore. It's very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy," Clooney and Canalis said in a joint statement. Clooney has since moved on with former wrestler and actress Stacy Keibler.

Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez

Although it looked like things were just getting started between "Bad Teacher" star Cameron Diaz and baseball hunk Alex Rodriguez, the hot couple parted ways in September after dating for a year and a half. Their romance was marked by beach getaways, working out and Cameron playing with the Yankee slugger's two children. They decided to end their romance due to conflicting schedules. They amicably parted ways.

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn

Immediately following her divorce from Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn had a whirlwind romance for a few months, before calling it quits in June. Penn, 24 years her senior, whisked ScarJo away on a Mexican getaway after they were spotted getting flirty in L.A. The pair walked hand-in-hand at the White House Correspondents' Dinner party in Washington D.C. and was also seen jogging near Sean's home in Malibu. Sean has recently been romantically linked to Shannon Costello, a former communications director of the actor's J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

Chelsea Handler and Andre Balazs

Late-night talk show host Chelsea Handler and hotelier Andre Balazs have called it quits after less than a year of dating. Handler, whose exes include 50 Cent, Animal Planet's Dave Salmoni and Comcast CEO Ted Harbert, explained, "It's not about me, 'cause I would like to make fun of him as much as possible, but he has kids, so I have to be nice." Balazs was once engaged to Uma Thurman. The couple first went public in May.

Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard

Following two years of marriage, adorable "New Girl" actress Zooey Deschanel separated from Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Ben Gibbard. "It was mutual and amicable," a source said. "There was no third party involved." Deschanel and Gibbard tied the knot outside Seattle in late September 2009. They were introduced by their music manager at the time.

Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas

In March, Joe Jonas and girlfriend Ashley Greene went their separate ways after dating for nearly a year. Conflicting and busy schedules were most likely to blame for the split, with Greene in Vancouver filming "Breaking Dawn," and Jonas in NYC recording a new album.

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton

"X Factor" judge Nicole Scherzinger is single after ending her on-off, four-year relationship with race car driver Lewis Hamilton. "They were just never together and saw no end to that," an insider said. "Their careers have them working in separate places. Being apart that much never works, so they decided to end it." Scherzinger and Hamilton met backstage at the Munich MTV Europe Awards in Nov. 2007. They split in January 2010, but reconciled soon after. Is it over for good?

Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio

Although they could've been the Barbie and Ken of Hollywood, Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio called off their romance after just five months. The hot pair were first spotted together in Monte Carlo at the Cannes Film Festival, before embarking on a whirlwind, romantic summer love-fest spanning a few European countries. During their time together, the "Gossip Girl" actress, 24, and "J. Edgar" star, 36, were surprisingly open about their romance and were frequently seen in public. Despite their strong beginnings as boyfriend and girlfriend, they decided to go their separate ways, with Lively quickly moving on to her "Green Lantern" co-star Ryan Reynolds.

Kat Von D and Jesse James

Tattooed couple Kat Von D and Jesse James called off their engagement for the second time this year. Von D, 29, famously got Jesse's childhood face tattooed to her body, and surprised him with it on her TLC show shortly before the breakup. Kat split from Jesse, 42, after he reportedly cheated on her 19 times. Von D, who said she wanted to prove the world wrong about James, recently admitted she deserves "a big fat 'I told you so,' from everyone." James, who was previously married to Sandra Bullock, admitted during an interview with Piers Morgan that he'd had extramarital affairs during his marriage to Bullock. "I think there was some suspicions, you know, which were right on her [Sandra's] part. But... it [the cheating] came out of left field. You know, she wasn't ready for it."

Michaele Salahi and Tareq Salahi

Infamous White House party crashers Michaele Salahi and Tareq Salahi have gone their separate ways. Michaele, who appeared on the now-canceled "The Real Housewives of D.C.," became a number one groupie after she ran away with Journey guitarist Neal Schon. Michaele left home without telling her husband — who believed his wife was kidnapped and phoned police. Michaele explained the scandalous exit from her five-year marriage to Tareq, saying in the late '90's she dated both men, but chose Tareq because she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and believed she would be better taken care of by Salahi. Michaele married Tareq in 2003.

Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas

The reality show romance between Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas has come to an end. The "Dancing with the Stars" pro and the "American Idol" finalist started dating shortly after Pia was shockingly eliminated from season 10. They called it quits after they "decided with everything going on that they couldn't give each other what would be fair," said a source. Ballas was paired with Kristin Cavallari on season 13's "Dancing with the Stars."

Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter

"Charlie's Angel" beauty Minka Kelly and Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter spent three years together before announcing their split in August. "They care about each other and it was amicable. They're still friends," an insider told People. Kelly had been a constant presence in Jeter's family's box at Yankee Stadium during the summer, as the couple dodged engagement rumors for the past year. There's no doubt that Jeter will have trouble moving on. The Yankee hunk has been linked Mariah Carey, Jordana Brewster, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Gabrielle Union.

Geri Halliwell and Henry Beckwith

Former Spice Girls member Geri Halliwell was reportedly "heartbroken" after ending her two-year relationship with boyfriend Henry Beckwith. The couple's demise came from a "major" fight back in August, which caused Beckwith to move back to South West London.

Ahna O'Reilly and James Franco

"127 Hours" star James Franco and Ahna O'Reilly parted ways after dating for five years. Franco admitted "it's over" in the August issue of Playboy. "We'd been living together in L.A. and then came to New York to go school for two years. Then I signed up for more school. I think that was it for her," he said. Before Franco and O'Reilly began dating in 2006, the "Planet of the Apes" actor romanced actress Marla Sokoloff, and has also been linked to Sienna Miller.

Emily Maynard and Brad Womack

After a lot of crying, drama and heartbreak, Emily Maynard and Brad Womack — thrust together by reality show "The Bachelor," are most definitely over. In June, Maynard confirmed to People that the two were "no longer engaged." Maynard explained the reason for the split, saying she wanted her life with six-year-old daughter, Ricki to "get back to normal."

Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris split five days before they were set to say "I do." Hefner confirmed the breakup in June via Twitter, saying that his 25-year old fiancee walked out on him, days before the wedding. Harris said, "After much deep reflection and thought, I have decided to end my engagement with Hef. I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward." Following the split, Harris bad-mouthed Hef to Howard Stern, saying he lasted "like two seconds" in the bedroom, and adding, "I just, like, walked away. I'm turned off by Hef." Harris later apologized to Hugh for the inappropriate comments.

Rosie O'Donnell and Tracy Kachtick-Anders

Talk show host Rosie O'Donnell ended her relationship with Tracy Kachtick-Anders after one year. The two were first seen holding hands in Miami in December of 2009. Combined, they had 10 kids, prompting Rosie to refer to their brood as the "Gay-dy Bunch." Since the breakup, Rosie has moved on with Michelle Rounds, a woman she met outside a Starbucks. O'Donnell said she was not aware Rounds was gay. "I thought she was a 28-year-old heterosexual girl, because that's what she looked like to me. And she's a 40-year-old gay woman," Rosie told "Nightline" in an interview back in October.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony

Perhaps one of the most surprising breakups was that of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, who announced their plans to divorce in July, after seven years of marriage. In a joint statement, the couple said, "This has been a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time." No reason was cited for the split, although there were rumors of J.Lo being fed up with Marc's alleged infidelity and controlling ways. Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, wed in June 2004 in an intimate, secret ceremony at Lopez's Beverly Hills home, and renewed their vows last year. They have two children, 3-year-old twins Max and Emme. This was Marc's second divorce and J.Lo's third. She was previously married to Ojani Noa and Cris Judd.

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner

The wedding is off for Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner. Just three months after the couple announced their engagement, they decided to call off those plans, with no explanation given. Her rep confirmed the separation, saying, "Jack and Heather are no longer engaged." The "Melrose Place" stars began dating in 2007 after she divorced Richie Sambora, and were last seen together in September celebrating Heather's 50th birthday in Hawaii.

Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger

One of the most dramatic and shocking splits in 2011 came from the Schwarzenegger household. The former Governor admitted to having an extramarital affair with the family's longtime housekeeper, Patty Baena, which yielded a love child. The boy is the same age as Schwarzenegger's youngest son, Christopher. After 25 years of marriage, an unhappy Maria decided to file for divorce. She had contemplated leaving Arnold for two years prior to finding out about his illegitimate son. Among many of the strange twists and turns in the scandalous affair, the maid, who worked with the family for over 20 years, was reportedly obsessed with Shriver and would put on her clothes and jewelry, unbeknownst to Maria.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher

Did Ashton's cheating plague his six-year marriage to Demi Moore? The "Two and a Half Men" star reportedly had a tryst with 22-year-old blonde, Sara Leal, who sold her story to a tabloid. Rumors of a breakup swirled for months, amid mysterious Twitter messages from both Demi and Ashton. Moore pulled the trigger in November, announcing her split from Kutcher.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

After Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries in a lavish Montecito ceremony in August that aired in a two-part special on E!, the reality vixen filed for divorce 72 days later, citing "irreconcilable differences." The pair dated for about a year before saying "I do." Tabloid reports claim Humphries was mean to Kim, calling her "fat" and "stupid."

EXCLUSIVE: Tate Taylor Talks The Help Blu-ray

Tate Taylor Talks The Help on Blu-ray

Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Emma Stone headline this hit drama, on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, December 6th.

On Tuesday, December 6th, the surprise smash hit of the summer The Help finally arrives on Blu-ray, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD. Headlined by Oscar-worthy performances from Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, Allison Janney, and Viola Davis, Tate Taylor directs this adaptation of Kathryn Stockett's best selling novel, which follows the timeless and triumphant tale of two women in the 1960s south who form a strong bond over a secret writing project.

We recently caught up with director Tate Taylor to chat about this anticipated release. Here is our conversation.

You've been with this project for such a long time. How does it feel to finally have the movie on Blu-ray and DVD, where everyone can access it?

Tate Taylor: I am so excited. I think I'll go out by myself and stand in line at Best Buy to buy it. It feels great. I realize that it will now reach so many people that couldn't get to a theater. I have relatives in my own family who couldn't get out to see it. I am so glad this is coming into people's homes. I am happy to expand our fanbase, hopefully.

In places where this story might resonate the heaviest, a lot of those people simply can't get to the movie theater because they live so far away from one...

Tate Taylor: Its true. Where we filmed the movie in Greenwood Mississippi, the nearest theater is two hours away. So I am excited for this.

It's weird. I've been in that area a lot, and I notice that in some of these small town Wal-Marts, the DVD section of the store is still segregated. You'll find one wall, where, if the movie has a black person in it, it's only in this particular section...

Tate Taylor: That it wasn't in Mississippi. I think you saw this out here in Los Angeles...

I've noticed it a lot driving through the south, for sure.

Tate Taylor: I don't want to do an interview about marketing segregation. I just think that's the way it rolls. I don't understand it. I've never noticed that personally, no...

I know the film courted a lot of controversy when it was in theaters. How important was it to include the documentary In Their Own Words: A Tribute to the Maids of Mississippi on the bonus section of this release?

Tate Taylor: It was very important to me to have this. And I don't want to call it a tribute or a thank you. We just knew that couldn't come from a white author, or a white filmmaker, or a studio. The people owed this thanks were the children of these woman. That's why I wanted to bring in that discussion. It was so amazing. About a month ago Oprah Winfrey got a charity Oscar, a governors award, from the Academy. And I was there. In the middle of her speech, she said, "The Help. Because of those women, I get to stand here. Because of what they did. So that we could have a better life." That is what I wanted to bring to the DVD. It's not about white people saying 'thank you'. It's about their children. Because they are the ones that benefited. What their mothers and grandmothers did for them. In talking about the bonus features, I don't want to watch the movie, I just don't. I want to talk about the locations, and the heart, and why I knew these people. That these aren't just characters. I want to get all of these beautiful women in a room and have a discussion. Make it for everybody. See how it feels.

You bring in a couple of deleted scenes. What do you feel these add to the experience of watching the movie? Were these scenes that you were happy to share with an audience who may have already seen The Help in a theater?

Tate Taylor: I am happy for everybody to see the deleted scenes. It literally came down to the fact that you have so much information in a book, and an audience only has so much good will towards a movie, as far as how long their butts want to sit in that seat. We had a lot of stuff, and I needed to see what subjects we already covered. I'm thrilled to show audiences these deleted scenes, especially the book lovers. Because, I know when I love I book, I always think, "I wish they would have filmed that particular scene..." You know what? They may have! I love that these deleted scenes are being shown. Absolutely.

I am just fascinated by the backstory on the making of this movie. You and the author, Kathryn Stockett, have known each other for a long time, right?

Tate Taylor: Since we were five years old. We grew up together in Jackson, Mississippi. We do tell the entire genesis of how this all happened, on the DVD, absolutely. From us being friends at the age of five, until the movie was in theaters. That is all covered in the extras. She is interviewed. It's pretty cool.

Kathryn was there through the entire making of the movie, but she never really collaborated with you on the script, right?

Tate Taylor: She is famously not a movie fan. Its hysterical. She loves to read books, period. Whenever I would talk about movies, or reference movies, she'd say, "I don't know what you are talking about." When she made the decision to give me the rights, she said, "Here, take it. I don't understand screenplays. I am here for you if you have a question." She read the screenplay, and she liked it. Then she said, "I wan to come sit with you while you are there." She came, she rented a house, and in the daytime, she wrote her next novel, which she is almost done with. She knew that we were down the road filming her first novel. She wanted to be around that energy. She loved coming to set. She got attached, but still, she is not a fan of the movie business. Its not her forte.

You and Octavia Spencer have been friends for a long time, as well?

Tate Taylor: She was my roommate for four years. We left the same apartment to go down there and film this movie. I lived with Octavia while I was adapting this screenplay. Then we packed up the car and hit the road. Yes, she was my roommate for four years. We met in 1995 as PAs on the movie A Time to Kill. We just became best friends. That's how Kathryn Stockett got to know Octavia. This whole thing is about friendships. And history. It's remarkable. It will be hard to ever recapture this again. There are so many firsts. There was so much love between the crew, and the actors, and themselves...We're all still friends. We all break bread. We all travel together. Its like this has never stopped. It was all so powerful. We all fell in love with each other while we were there.

Did you always know that you wanted Octavia to be in the movie, from the moment you read the manuscript?

Tate Taylor: Octavia has always been in everything that I have ever done. I would film her reading the phone book. I loved the character of Minnie, and I wrote it with her in mind, absolutely. That was always a deal breaker. I never had to push for that, though. From the very beginning, I always knew that I wanted both Allison Janney and Octavia Spencer. They are both friends, and I wrote those parts for them, knowing their skills. But it never came down to fighting for them. That's what's so great about DreamWorks. They took a look at them and said, "Yeah, you are right. These are two great actresses. Lets keep going! This is perfect."

You mentioned that Kathryn is almost finished with her next book. Are you already plotting to adapt that one as well?

Tate Taylor: Of course I want to. As she says, "I hope you like it!" Why wouldn't I like it? Of course I will like it. We will work together forever. She just has to finish the damn thing.

The Help was released August 10th, 2011 and stars Emma Stone, Bryce Dallas Howard, Mike Vogel, Allison Janney, Sissy Spacek, Jessica Chastain, Chris Lowell, Viola Davis. The film is directed by Tate Taylor.

Uptown 6 Productions Acquires Nanny & Hank

Uptown 6 Productions brings Nanny & Hank to the big screen

Go to the movie theater today and you can see sparkly, lovelorn vampires, but, according to Bluewater Productions, their darkly comedic tale of septuagenarian bloodsuckers will soon be sharing space on the silver screen.

Uptown 6 Productions, whose first feature film 16-Love, hits theaters in January 2012, purchased the rights to Bluewater's successful graphic novel Nanny & Hank, a unique take on the vampire mythos. It follows two grandparents ready to enjoy their golden years with travel and grandchildren, and how a horrible encounter with a disgruntled vampire changes their world forever and ever.

"Nanny & Hank: Retirement is Hell is the 'funniest' take on mortality and morality to ever splash the pages of a comic book," said Uptown 6's president Adam Lipsius. "The protagonists' plight is rife with truth and humor. These heroes creep me out with how cool they are, and Uptown 6 is committed to bringing every giggle and shiver to the big screen. We couldn't be more excited to be in business with Bluewater, the new tastemakers in indie comics."

Uptown 6 is working towards a 2013 release, for the first volume of the Nanny & Hank.

According to Bluewater's president Darren G. Davis, the story, written by Mark L. Miller and illustrated by Steve Babb, is based on his own family. "Call it a love letter to my grandparents. The main characters are based on them, and it was a riot trying to insert some of the funny old family stories into a vampiric context,". "And yes, their names really were Nanny and Hank!" Davis added.

This is the fourth property optioned from the Vancouver, Washington-based independent comic book producer. Their myth-superhero mash-up Isis was optioned by Paramount, the otherworldly adventure serial Sinbad: Rogue of Colossus is currently in pre-production through Morningside Entertainment, and Universal owns the rights to Bluewater's flagship heroine, The 10th Muse.

Although Nanny & Hank will soon make it to local theaters, individual comic book issues and the compiled graphic novel "Retirement is Hell" are still available wherever comic book and graphic novels are sold. These titles are also available for download on Kindle and Nook.

Nanny & Hank comes to theaters in 2013.

Adele's Tour Rider Reveals Love for Charity, Hatred of North American Beer

More proof that Adele is awesome: She makes freeloading fans give to charity. Oh, and also her tour manager is nicknamed Zop. How do we know this? Because the Smoking Gun just published her tour rider.

Before throat problems forced the British singer (and recent six-time Grammy nominee) to cancel her touring plans for the foreseeable future, she was taking advantage of one arena where musical artists are sanctioned, almost expected, to be as zany and ludicrous as possible.

However, Adele's tour rider isn't your typical story of rock 'n' roll hedonism. The singer has made it compulsory for any and all guests receiving complimentary tickets (whether it's from her, her label, the promoter, etc.) to give a minimum of $20 to charity. The donations will go to Sands, an organiation dedicated to "supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby and promoting research to reduce the loss of babies' lives," as detailed by the rider.

A problem I have always had with Hard Candy

Posted: 06 Dec 2011 09:48 AM PST

First of all, I would like to say up front that this post is gonna be absolutely spoileriffic, so if you haven't seen the movie yet I would recommend you stay away for now.

I first saw this movie a few years ago, and I really enjoyed it, its one helluvan intense flick, but something about its ending irked me that I could never quite put my finger on, partially stemming from teh response a lot of my friends have had to the movie, and after all this time I think I have figured it out.

(spoilers start here) The big issue I end up taking with this movie is that in the end, they pretty unambiguously tell the audience that Jeff is guilty, more or less. I feel like in doing this, they derailed the big moral question of the movie, or at least changed it, the question being whether or not Hayley was justified in her actions.

Up until his admission on the roof, there was a lot of very persuasive evidence that he was guilty, but never quite enough to absolutely prove or implicate him. I feel like if they had left his guilt ambiguous like this, it would be a lot more difficult to say that Hayley was justified in torementing him, because he was guilty.

It changes the question to "did Jeff have it coming?" from what I think should have been the broader question of the movie, "was Hayley justified, and is vigilantism justified in general?" If there had been some doubt left at the end, the possibility that Hayley was wrong, it would have made it a lot more difficult to say it was ok because she had it coming. By doing this, they bypass the principle behind the presumption of innocence entirely.

So, does anyone else feel this way? If you disagree with me, why? I still think its a fantastic movie, this is just one aspect that has bugged me for awhile.

tl;dr: I think by coming out and saying that Jeff was guilty, the filmmakers bypassed some of the more challenging moral questions about Haley's actions.

Donald Trump: Political Kingmaker?

Posted: 06 Dec 2011 10:50 AM PST

GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich met with Republican pundit Donald Trump Monday in NYC in hopes of receiving Trump's endorsement. Trump said he would endorse a candidate for president sometime after he moderates the December 27 debate, hosted by Newsmax. When asked about a Trump endorsement, Gingrich replied to reporters, "Of course I want his endorsement."

Trump said he would not run for president unless "the wrong person gets in," but Trump didn't believe a wrong person will be chosen. Trump criticized candidate Ron Paul for not participating in his debate. Candidate Jon Huntsman also turned down the invitation. "With all due respect, this is from me, not him," Trump said, gesturing toward Gingrich. "Ron Paul has zero chance of getting the nomination," Trump said. Gingrich added, "When I was asked would I like to be in that type of debate, I automatically said yes. I think it's great of him to do it, I think it's great Newsmax is helping launch it, it's part of the process by which America governs itself."

'Extra' Exclusive: Angelina Jolie on Directing, Family and Being a 'Closet Geek'

Posted: 06 Dec 2011 11:58 AM PST

"Extra's" Jerry Penacoli caught up with busy mom Angelina Jolie to discuss her directorial debut with "In the Land of Blood and Honey" in NYC. Angie's new drama, which takes a powerful look at war-torn Bosnia in the '90s, centers on a man who falls for a beautiful prisoner.

Check out these four interesting facts about Angelina that were uncovered during the interview.

1. After showing Brad her script, they had "this idea we'll send it to people from all different sides of the conflict without my name on it, and if they agree to come together to do it, then we'll make it, and if they don't, we'll burn it."

2. Jolie was quite taken with directing, and says if she had to choose between that and acting, she "would love to be a director."

3. Angie says most people would probably not know "that I'm a closet geek in what I read and what I am."

4. Between her six children and traveling the world, Angelina revealed she started writing the script during Shiloh's art class, "and spent most of my time on my little notepads."

Jolie explained, "It didn't start out with me wanting to direct a movie. It started with me interested in these subject matters. So the script was a private exercise for me that I never intended to show anybody, and then I ended up showing Brad and he said, 'You know, Honey, it's not bad.'"

Jolie, who walked the red carpet premiere on Monday with her famous beau and his parents, said, "You need the support when you're nervous."
