According to the NY Post, Sanchez has been paying frequent visits to Upton's Flatiron apartment since November, usually after a game or before practice. Sanchez was also spotted in the model's building carrying gifts for her. Practice makes perfect!

An insider dished, "They never come in together. He's always five steps after her." Another source insisted the two are "just friends."

2011: The Year Canadian Music Broke

2011 was the year the Occupy movement dominated politics, but the American music industry also faced an occupation as Canadians set up their metaphorical tents in the charts, at award shows and on music critic best-of lists.

In the first week of December, for the first time ever, four of the Top Five albums on the Billboard pop charts were by Canadians. Crooner Michael Buble, who has held the top spot as for well over a month with his 'Christmas' album, was joined by hip-hop's hottest talent Drake and pop's most ubiquitous superstar Justin Bieber, both of whose new albums also debuted at No. 1. Rounding out the Top Five was Nickelback, the biggest-selling (and most hated) rock band in the world. (Adele was, naturally, the non-Canadian on the list.)

A couple weeks later the year-end lists started rolling out, a critical counterpoint to commercial charts, but they, too, turned out to be dominated by Canada. A quintet of Torontonians -- post-hardcore anthemists F---ed Up, operatic synth-pop act Austra, melancholy chanteuse Feist, self-loathing avant-R&B lothario the Weeknd and emo MC Drake -- topped the best of 2011 lists by, respectively, Spin magazine, New York magazine, Washington Post and the New York Times (which had multiple critic lists).

The Make Aim High, With Help From Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

For most young bands, finding someone -- anyone -- to give their music a chance is often half the journey on the road to success. For the Chico, Calif.-based trio the Make, they thankfully didn't have to go too far to find some welcoming ears. But, to some outside observers, their benefactor, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, might appear to be an unusual one. Not so, says keyboard player and vocalist Sarah Ann.

"Aaron and Jeff [Schneeweis, guitarist/vocalist] and Trevor [Sellers, bassist] all grew up together," she tells Spinner. "They're longtime friends."

The Super Bowl champion was a fan of Schneeweis and Sellers' previous band, Number One Gun, so it was a logical move for Rodgers to sign their new project to his label, Suspended Sunrise Recordings.

The hugely anticipated trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus made its official debut today, and from the looks of things, it has more than just a little Alien DNA hidden with in it. From the title sequence, to the space ships, to the HR Giger set design, Prometheus looks like a full-blown prequel to that 1979 classic, and as promised, the film features the mysterious Space Jockey. Blink and you may miss it, but the unmasked space creature's decapitated head is seen in this trailer footage for exactly one second. We have grabbed a screen shot of The Space Jockey, which you can check out below.

Posted: 22 Dec 2011 10:20 AM PST

A classmate of mine, who will be doing a unit on Persuasive Speech is looking for examples of great persuasive speeches in film. So far she has found several great examples, but unfortunately most/all are examples of male speakers.

Can you think of any from females?

Or at least share some of the best film speeches you can think of.

Thank you

-My thoughts so far (I will update as I think of more):
