| Is there a name for the film/TV trope of average citizens being incredibly aware of news bulletins? Posted: 24 Dec 2011 08:06 AM PST I'm thinking mostly in the context of escape/fugitive movies. People always seem very up to date on news bulletins. I'm watching Prison Break right now, and it seems like every other person the fugitives encounter recognizes them. I just find it hard to believe a teenage waitress or mid-night worker at Rite-Aid could spot a fugitive (especially one without a really weird/memorable face.) [link] [comment] |

The higher ticket prices are a pain, but the ever increasing amount of poor quality post-converted movies is an even bigger problem. Since the release of the record breaking Avatar in 2009, studios have taken every opportunity they can to make even more money by offering up their releases in the format and Marvel Studios are unfortunately no different.
