EXCLUSIVE: Alex Kendrick and Ken Bevel Talk Courageous

Posted: 02 Oct 2011 11:34 AM PDT

Courageous is the story of four police officers with one calling: to serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, the men are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood. With God's help, they struggle to be able to find a way to serve and protect those that are most dear to them. Courageous is the latest film from Sherwood Pictures and director Alex Kendrick, who also brought us the surprise blockbuster hits Fireproof and Facing the Giants. Our own Paulington James Christensen III recently caught up with Alex Kendrick, who also co-wrote and stars in the movie, as well co-star Ken Bevel, to chat about this inspirational tale. Check out our exclusive interview below.

EXCLUSIVE: Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil Cast Interviews

Posted: 02 Oct 2011 11:47 AM PDT

Actors Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine are no strangers to cult phenomena. From their work on shows such as Firefly and Reaper, both actors have attained cult followings. It is only fitting that they both star in a movie that could very well become the next cult classic: Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil, now available on VOD and hitting theaters September 30.

Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine star as the title characters, a couple of ordinary hillbillies who take a trip into the deep woods to fix up their new "vacation home." They encounter a group of college kids, who immediately get the wrong impression about these rednecks, and things escalate even more when they think Tucker and Dale have kidnapped their friend Allison (Katrina Bowden). We recently had the chance to sit down with Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine to discuss this fantastic horror-comedy (clickHere to read my full review). Click on the video below for my video interview with Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine for Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil.

Howard Gordon Still Confident That A 24 Movie WILL Eventually Happen!

Posted: 02 Oct 2011 10:55 AM PDT

Talking to Collider about his new shows, Homeland and Awake, executive producer Howard Gordon once again offered up a brief update on the status of the long talked about movie adaptation of 24. The series wrapped up in a way specifically designed to be continued on the big screen, although there's been little to no movement since it ended last year. There have however been plenty of rumors, and it thankfully seems that the project is still alive...barely. "If the movie happens, I'll certainly be a part of it. Kiefer [Sutherland] also has his own show now (Touch on Fox) and there are a lot of things that would have to fall into place. But, those things are definitely moving forward. Imagine and Fox are talking, and there is a script that we're re-approaching right now." As the month go by, I find it harder and harder to believe that this movie will

UPDATE: COMICS: All Crisis Events Removed From DC's History!

Posted: 01 Oct 2011 03:41 PM PDT

Kudos to Bleeding Cool. They broke this story first. Update: Didio has taken to his facebook again to provide a more detailed (yet, still vague) explanation of what his earlir post meant: For those in crisis over Crisis, let me clarify. The topic of Crisis was much discussed among the editors and talent working on The New 52. With so many characters and histories restarting, major events like Crisis are harder to place when they work for some and not for others. (that was one of the problems coming out of the original Crisis). While we are starting aprx five years into our heroes' lives, we are focused on the characters present and future, and past histories will be revealed as the stories dictate. Yes, there have been "crisis" in our characters lives, but they aren't exactly the Crisis you read before, they can't be. Now, what this means for characters seen

Is Showtime's Homeland the first post-post-9/11 TV show?

In a word, yes, according to Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa, the former 24 producers who developed the show.

Fall TV: Get the lowdown on this season's must-see new shows

"If you look at 24, it was a response to the towers coming down. It was about America taking action against enemies," Gansa tells TVGuide.com. "This is very much a response to Osama bin Laden's death. It's a psychological exploration of what this war on terror has meant to the United States and meant to the individuals that are involved in it."

Adds Gordon: "It's really about what we have to fear now that all the boogeymen of the last 10 years...

simmons-tweed.jpg
Their wedding extravaganza included nearly 400 guests, including Hugh Hefner, Bill Maher and Simmon's fellow bandmates from KISS. Simmons and Tweed exchanged self-written vows in a beautiful evening ceremony outside the crystal lawn at the ritzy hotel. The blushing bride sparkled in $2.5 million in diamonds for the first dance, and wore a stunning, ivory Priscilla of Boston gown -- one of the three dresses Shannon wore on her big day. The couple's children Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19, were also in attendance for their parents' special day -- with Sophie acting as maid of honor.
