Hasbro in Talks with Michael Bay for Transformers 4 Posted: 17 Oct 2011 09:21 AM PDT Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner revealed on an investor's conference call that the toy company is in "active discussions" with Paramount Pictures for Transfomers 4. Executive producer Steven Spielberg and director Michael Bay are involved in the talks, and Brian Goldner expects to have news on the sequel in the next fiscal quarter. Brian Goldner also talked about a number of other movie projects based on Hasbro products. "We continue to actively develop a number of additional Hasbro films with great partners and writers, including Micronauts, Ouija, Candy Land, Risk, Stretch Armstrong, Clue and Monopoly." Back in August, Universal Pictures dropped Ouija from its production slate. However, Brian Goldner indicated they are in a situation similar to Disney's restructuring of Lone Ranger. Brian Goldner said the Ouija script is being reworked, and he expects it to find a new studio home shortly. Micronauts is being developed for J.J. Abrams at Paramount. The scripts for Monopoly, Clue, and Risk are also being worked on. |
Clooney and Keibler Make Red Carpet Debut as a Couple Posted: 17 Oct 2011 10:54 AM PDT Making it official, George Clooney arrived to the NYC premiere of "The Descendants" with his gorgeous wrestler girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, on his arm. The charming star looked sharp in a suit, admitting he didn't have the slightest clue when it came to what Keibler was wearing, and said, "I don't know!" George also gave a not-so-detailed description regarding his own outfit; "a suit, socks... all the important things." The 50-year-old, who plays a dad in the family drama about reconnecting with his two daughters, said he didn't bother turning to friends for pointers on how to play the character. "Believe me, that's the last thing I'd do is look to my friends for advice!" He did, however, talk about his dad, Nick, who once dished out some words of wisdom, telling his famous son never to mix wine with hard liquor. The actor smiled, "And you know what? He's always been right about that!" "The Descendants" moves into theaters Nov. 18. |

Zeta-Jones, who stars as a conservative, Michelle Bachmann-type villain in the film, gushed in her praise of co-star Tom Cruise. "You have no idea how good he is going to be in this movie!" Douglas added, "Catherine's version of Michelle Bachman should be pretty good, too." She laughed, "Yeah I'm so right wing in that movie!" The handsome couple also talked about sharing the same birthday; September 25. "We actually gave ourselves the gift of travel," said Douglas. "We had a nice birthday out of the country in Switzerland." And for their upcoming 11th wedding anniversary November 18, the two dished on what they might be giving each other. Zeta-Jones said, "I'll buy him some golf clubs, because God knows he needs another set." Make sure to watch for Cruise and Zeta-Jones in "Rock of Ages," due in theaters June, 2012. |

Jody Savin will write the biopic, which centers on The Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson. The movie will focus on the last six years of his life before he died in 1983. Aaron Eckhart will also serve as executive producer, and will perform songs from Dennis Wilson's 1977 solo album, "Pacific Ocean Blue." NYCC '11: Bruce Timm Hints Carol Ferris to Become Star Sapphire in Green Lantern Animated Posted: 17 Oct 2011 09:37 AM PDT Some of the highlights in the video are that Bruce confirms multiple colored Lanterns will show up in first season of the series. He goes on to say that Kilowog even says at one point, "Geesh, how many colored Lanterns are there?" Bruce also said that Hal wasn't the first choice by DC to be featured in the series. They wanted him to go with Kyle Rayner. He was reluctant to hire Josh Keaton for the role since he had voice many other superheroes in the past, but his audition won him over. The series won't be telling the origin tale, it will pickup from Hal being Green Lantern for at least a few years. And don't expect Hal at any point to become Parallax. I'll be posting a review of the footage that I saw soon. I'll briefly say that as someone who hated the recent movie with Ryan Reynolds, I |

"I wasn't really aware of how big and successful he was, though. I like them and I think they're good but I didn't know they were this iconic band of the 2010s -- I still would've done it with him but, at that point, he was probably too busy."
