Posted: 22 Oct 2011 11:02 AM PDT

Jimmy Fallon sells 3 new shows to NBC

Jimmy Fallon has sold three television script ideas to NBC, home of his own talk show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Under his production arm Holiday Road, Jimmy Fallon will executive produce Fat Rob, from writer/creator Jeremy Bronson. The half-hour comedy will focus on an aging rap star and his family woes. Amy Ozols is also on as an executive producer.

Charlie Grandy, who worked with Jimmy Fallon on Saturday Night Live and is a contributing writer on The Office, is behind DILFs. This half-hour sitcom follows a couple of 30-year-old dads that are not quite ready to be a parent.

The last script is titled Rick, from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon writer Gerard Bradford. The comedy follows a stepdad whose new son is the same age as him.

There is no production start date on any of the three programs.

Stephen King No Longer Planning To Write An Episode Of The Walking Dead!

Posted: 22 Oct 2011 11:18 AM PDT

When it was originally revealed that Stephen King, along with his son Joe Hill, would write either a season two or season three episode of AMC's The Walking Dead, horror fans rejoiced. One of the writer's many credits include Cell, a very frightening and intense novel featuring zombies, and this alone resulted in excitement being at an all time high. Unfortunately, Bleeding Cool have now broken the news that King will no longer be penning an episode of the show. Why? Well... Bleeding Cool have heard from a good source near the show that the moment Stephen King's plan to write an episode of The Walking Dead with his son Joe Hill was extinguished was the moment that Frank Darabont came unbound from the show. What a shame! However, I suppose it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise considering the close relationship between King and Frank Darabont. (who has previously directed

Is there some tool or website that can analyse your IMDb voting history? Ivha used to do this but the website doesn't seem to exist anymore.

I'm talking about listing how many movies are from which country, which actor is represented most etc.

UPDATE: Michael Shannon Briefly Talks Man Of Steel, Seems To Confirm "Phantom Zone"

Posted: 22 Oct 2011 07:23 AM PDT

In the interview, Shannon first speaks about his role in Take Shelter and is then quizzed about playing General Zod ion Man Of Steel. He once again expresses his admiration for Terence Stamp's original portrayal and then in response to being teased about Superman 2's incarnation of The Phantom Zone (basically the 3 evil kryptonians trapped in a spinning triangle) he says that the new "set up will be a little different" This at least suggests that we will see The Phantom Zone in some form in the movie. It's a shame Shannon didn't get the chance to elaborate on anything as Jason Byrne the annoying Irish "comedian" beside him seemed intent on hogging every bit of spotlight he could. Thanks to the Man Of Steel Facebook page for the heads up, click the link below to pay em a visit. And thanks to ComicBuzz for the Youtube upload. By TwitterButtons.com

Metallica Embarks on 3D Feature Film

Metallica to embark on 3D feature film

Long-standing metal band Metallica (featuring members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo) is moving forward on a 3D feature film with Journey to the Center of the Earth and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island producer Charlotte Huggins.

It is not known what type of feature film the band is planning. It could be anything from a Tommy-inspired rock opera, to a drama, to a documentary, to a 3D concert film, which has become a popular genre amongst best selling musicians. Anything is fair game at this point.

Metallica first ventured into the world of filmmaking by generously contributing most of the music to the West Memphis Three documentary Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills, which helped the film find its audience, and got word out about the infamous murder trial. Then, in 2004, the band put its own personal drama in front of cameras for the groundbreaking documentary Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.

Its doubtful that Metallica would be engaging in a follow-up to their own woes and strife as a struggling multi-million dollar outfit. No one wants to see Dave Mustaine cry in 3D.

For now, we will just have to wait and see what the band is cooking up. The sky seems to be the limit.

What if ANDY was imagining the Toy Story movies?

Posted: 22 Oct 2011 10:31 AM PDT

What if the Toy Story movies were the product of Andy's imagination? The things he daydreamed of at school? A way to rationalize his toys being out of place sometimes, a fantasy he had about getting revenge on his nemesis Sid? Note the maturation of the relationships, the childlike Bo Peep, the best friend getting the girl, and finally a salsa dance? This popped into my head when I decided to rewatch the final scene of 3, when Andy was telling the stories of his toys. It was deep, like they had a whole life, and I just thought that it's entirely possible that Andy, like many of us, imagined that his toys came to life while he was gone, and had adventures similar to the ones they had together.

Is there any site that allows you to compare the cast and crew of two movies to see who worked on both?

Similar to how you can view your "mutual friends" on Facebook.
