Just go wild. A few ideas to get this ball rolling:

Fringe with Benefits: A dimension hopping playboy looks for love in all the wrong places, only to realize that it was a lot closer to home than he would have thought.

Source Code Monkeys: A secret experiment in trying to stop terrorism with time travel accidentally sends some slackers to the 1980s and forever alters the retro gaming age.

Harry Potter's Penguins: Funny frantic frolic ensues when the Harry's uncle unwittingly sends the reluctant hero a package of hexed aquatic waterfowl as part of one of Voldermort's schemes.

Could Laura Dern Return for Jurassic Park 4?

Posted: 07 Oct 2011 12:17 PM PDT

Slate: Jurassic Park 4. Is that happening? Laura Dern: I hear it's happening. I think it's got a ways to go. Steven is about to immerse himself in Lincoln, which is really exciting and something he's poured his heart and soul into for a long time. I'm so excited because Daniel Day-Lewis is playing Lincoln. Once that's finished, there's always been talk that my character is deeply involved in [Jurassic Park 4] somehow, but I haven't heard yet. In 2007 Laura was asked to return to the role of Ellie, but that was when the movie was project to begin filming in 2008. Obviously that never came about, but Joe Johnston, who directed the third film in the franchise revealed plans of the fourth are slowly coming together. He said that he would be meeting with Steven Spielberg about another Jurassic Park film, and it would be a spinoff of the original trilogy.

Sony Acquires The Rights To The Graphic Novel Nightfall

Posted: 07 Oct 2011 11:39 AM PDT

Sony has acquired the movie rights to the Platinum Studios graphic novel which tells the story of David Paxton, a man sent to a Texas prison that's secretly run by vampires. Just a year ago, the rights were with Aurora Productions who hired Saw and Insidious director, James Wan to oversee the adaption. However, nothing materialized and the rights are now in the possession of Sony Pictures. The latest script was written by actor/writer, Peter Woodward. Earlier this year, Brown stated that he has little involvement with the film adaption but did state that he would love to see Samuel L. Jackson cast as the Warden. We'll have to wait and see if Sony will have more luck that Aurora did getting this project off the ground. Scott O. Brown (born 1975) is an American writer, letterer, publisher, editor, and production manager. Scott has been responsible for publishing top-tier creators

Elizabeth Cook to Guest Star on Squidbillies

Elizabeth Cook to guest voice on Squidbillies

Bless Rusty's sweet heart. He's finally got himself a nice little girlfriend, Tammi, who loves him for who he is, despite his being, well, a squid with severe acne. Watch their teenage love blossom in the next episode of Squidbillies, "Keeping It in the Family Way," airing Sunday, Oct. 9 at 11:45 p.m. (et/pt) on Adult Swim.

Of course, love is not without its hitches, and the biggest thorn in Rusty's side is his Dad, Early. Early thinks he has Rusty's best interests in mind, which usually means he'll beat him up, shoot him, juice him and exploit him. This time, he butts right into Rusty's relationship, looking to marry him off AND steal his woman at the same time. How is that possible? Well, these are hillbilly squids we're talking about.

Now when this episode starts, you'll notice the theme song has a special twang this week. That's because country music singer-songwriter and Sirius XM host of Apron Strings Elizabeth Cook is covering the tune. Her signature dulcet voice and perfect country harmonies come through as Early enjoys his chaw in a broke down truck.

Elizabeth Cook also guest stars as the sweet, understanding Tammi. She adores Rusty and resists Early's advances, but she can't escape her breeding, and her mama ends up being the reason the romance must end.

Squidbillies returns with an all-new episode this Sunday, October 9, only on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

Dredd Loses Director Pete Travis

Dredd loses director Pete Travis

The Lionsgate comic book adaptation Dredd has hit a serious snag, with director Pete Travis leaving the project in the middle of post-production. Screenwriter-producer Alex Garland is said to be taking over the project in the editing room, and may seek a director's credit.

Dredd wrapped principal photography earlier this year and it seems the producers and executives in charge of the production were not pleased with the footage Pete Travis was delivering. Another insider claims that, while Pete Travis isn't involved in the post-production process, he is still keeping tabs on the project.

There is also the possibility that Dredd may undergo reshoots, although it isn't known who would direct. Dredd doesn't hit theaters until September 21, 2012, so there is still plenty of time for this matter to be sorted out.

Alex Garland may go after a directorial credit, along with producers Andrew McDonald and Allon Reich. It is said that a final decision about the producers seeking directorial credit will be made as the movie nears completion.

Dredd comes to theaters September 21st, 2012 and stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Jason Cope, Warrick Grier, Joe Vaz, Langley Kirkwood, Deobia Oparei, Francis Chouler. The film is directed by Pete Travis.

Noel Gallagher and Russell Brand Get Weird for 'AKA...What a Life' Video

Noel Gallagher's new video for 'AKA...What a Life!' is a real head-trip, to say the least. If you've ever wondered what 'Alice in Wonderland' meets 'Twin Peaks' with a little bit of 'The Odyssey' thrown in would look like if it was set in the wild American West, then this video will be something of a godsend. Yes, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds get pretty out there.

The video starts with a young diner waitress who wanders into the weirdest stagecoach in the world, where she is met by Russell Brand as a sort of Mad Hatter and two beautiful women who are his hit-men-like "nieces." After delivering a quite verbose and patently Russell Brand monologue, he makes his nieces "massage her gently" (not gently at all) before he pours an LSD-like potion down the fair waitress' throat.

Michael Jackson Death Trial, Day 9: The Doctor Speaks

Posted: 07 Oct 2011 11:56 AM PDT

The prosecution in the involuntary manslaughter trial against Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray will present one of their final pieces of evidence Friday, playing a taped police interview with Murray.

conrad-murray.jpg

Scott Smith, one of the L.A. detectives who conducted the interview two days after Jackson's death, takes the stand to introduce the evidence to the jurors. The two-hour interview has never been played in public before, nor has a transcript of its contents been released.

In it, the Houston-based cardiologist, who was accompanied by an attorney, detailed his treatment of Jackson in the hours before the superstar's death.

Murray told detectives that he had been trying to wean Jackson off the powerful anesthetic propofol, because he was afraid he was addicted and had given the King of Pop other sedatives, including lorazepam and midazolam, to try helping Jackson to sleep. Murray claimed other doctors had also given Jackson propofol, which the "Thriller" singer called his "milk."

The doctor also told police that he had only left Jackson alone for a couple minutes when he returned around 11:00 AM on June 25, 2009 to find the singer had stopped breathing.

Murray's attorneys have disputed this portion of the timeline and say the doctor returned to find Jackson unresponsive around noon. Defense attorneys contend Jackson gave himself the lethal dose after Murray left the room.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and faces up to four years behind bars and the loss of his medical license if convicted.
